Sprint PCS Informative - Sprint Sucks

Review by k1tk4t on 2008-03-12
ARIZONA -- Ok we've been with Sprint for just a couple days over a months and we've already paid deposits on the phones and a $200.00 Bill for February now they have charged us almost $400.00 More dollars they wait till you've had the phones for a month an cant take them back without paying to have the service disconnected at $200.00 Per phone!! Anyhow they wait till then to start posting outrageous items on your account!!! Sprint is no good we had nothing but problems in the months of service we had and now including deposits and the first bill, with disconnect fees and the outrageous $400.00 Bill this month we've been screwed for almost $1200.00 In a month of having Sprints service!!!! Not good at all!!!

Phone seekers beware Sprint is nothing but problems!!

Can you provide specifics about these 'charges'? I have dealt with Sprint for a while, I might be able to help you.

Specifically, what are the "outrageous items" charged to your account? I'm a telecom billing analyst and if you provide some details maybe I can help.

I love it - - someone posts a "review" crying a river because they claim (as far as I can tell) that they got billed something like $1,200 by Sprint and when people ask questions trying to help we never hear back from the poster. It sounds to me like they bought a couple of phones ($200), got billed $200 for January, didn't pay it, got billed another $400 for February, didn't pay it at which point Sprint cancelled their contract and charged them $400 ETF. This all adds up to $1,200.

Excellent math Suusan. By the way how is that shoulder?
Posted by Suusan B. on 2008-03-12:
Hi superbowl: Thanks for asking! The shoulder is doing pretty well - - in fact I'm headed to PT in about 10 minutes. I can finally drive after two months and don't have to wear the immobilizer any longer. This nightmare is finally coming to an end!

we started service on feb 3rd i accessed the sprint music store having no idea it was internet access got charged for the KB's and we called to have the problem fixed the lady charged us 15.00 a months fee for internet for that usage and said the KB charges would be taken care ofwe paid the bill for feb of 167.00 and then yesterday accessed our account and it said 380+ dollars so we called to find out why and they told us that the lady never took that off the account and now they are charging us 75 dollars per phone for internet for the 1st day after we already paid the 15.00 on the bill so we got charged 90.00 per phone for a day of internet and they didnt apply those charges to the bill till after they got us to stay with them. cuz we were goin to cancel and they made us a deal for both phones for 77.00 a month and then we get this almost 400.00 bill and they cant do anything about it we had no idea the sprint store was internet we called right away and it was supposivly taken care of! and now the month is up that we had to cancel before being charged for disconnect they put the charges on our bill and now want 200 per phone to disconnect as well thats bull if you ask me

k1tk4t--So you accessed sprint music store from your phone but didn't realize it was internet? Then you are saying that you called to ask about the charge and was told you would be on a 15.00 per month charge vs. the total amount charged previously? But the excess charge wasn't deducted from your bill as promised? I'm just trying to make sense of what you're saying because you aren't using punctuation so all of your sentences are running together. I really want to help you but need to understand what you are saying.

Some people just should not have cell phones. You may be one of them.

It has only been a few days, try again with a little calmer head. I have had huge Sprint bills, and disconnects that were ironed out easily with common sense and courtesy. I recommend SPRINT to everyone. They need the business and the publicity to prove that they are a caring company.

Being a Sprint Customer for 7 years now and never having a problem at all ever, I am appalled by this post. Even looking at the explanation I am puzzled. This is what it sounds to me like...

She was charged for the shared service and received the added fees associated that is normal for all phone service with every company. Then purchased music and apps and such from the Internet for the phones. Both using KB charges and purchase fees. This added up and then she called in to get Internet added. This only removes the KB charges. The purchases remain. Sounds like you got caught up in something you clearly was unaware of how stuff worked and have been bit by the charges for the aftermath. The $150 per phone ETF applies for anytime between the end of contract and the last day of the free 30 day trial period. Your gonna have to cough up the cash darlin for your mistakes... I usually side with the customer unless they are blatantly in the wrong as in this case.
