Wal-Mart Complaint - rude & unhelpful employee
PRINCETON, NEW JERSEY -- On Mon, Oct 6, 2003 at 7:45 PM, I was at the Princeton, NJ Wal-mart. In Housewares, I was interested in purchasing small (7 inch high) stackable containers. Since they were on the top shelf (& signs said to ask for help on top shelf), I asked an employee to get them down for me. She eventually returned with a stepstool & was getting down 1 of each. I requested that she bring them all down since they were stackable & I wanted to measure them (there were 2 kinds, each stack about 1.5 feet high). In addition, I was planning to purchase 10-20 of them and did not want to wait again for someone else to get them down (also - the middle shelf was empty). She rudely told me that she would not give me more than 2 because she was leaving in 15 minutes and the other person in the dept has a heart condition & would not be able to put the items back! I again explained that I planned on purchasing a number of them. She continued to argue with me, and finally gave me 4 of one type. She then took the second type & started to walk away! I asked to see those & she said they belonged in a different aisle, so I had to follow her so that I could look at them!
I did end up purchasing 15 of these containers; however this is my last Wal-mart purchase. There's a Target next door and that's where my next shopping spree will be.
