General Electric Company Complaint - Service-Repair - Dishwasher
SERGEANT BLUFF, IOWA -- We purchased all new GE kitchen appliances December 5, 2007, installed Dec. 7th. We filled out the necessary paperwork for $200 rebate and sent in. We received a check in the mail for $50 with no explanation of why we did not receive the full $200. Upon contacting GE I was told that 2 of the appliances were not included in the rebate package. Apparently certain model numbers were excluded in the package. The sign at the store simply stated, "Buy 4 stainless appliances, receive $200 rebate." Upon contacting the store I was told that that matter would need to be presented to GE. Since the day of installation my dishwasher has not had a functioning dry cycle. Close to a dozen calls were made to GE, 5 repair calls involving taking off work at least 1/2 days each time, all spanning over a 12 week period.
During this process I was told by customer service: they would send me a new dishwasher, the part needed was on national backorder.... lies, lies, lies. I finally got my dishwasher repaired last week.
I can hardly wait until something else quits working. I will need to save up vacation time at my job for the next repair needed to avoid termination.
