IKitchen.com Complaint - Steer Clear Of Doing Business With This Company!
My Cuisnart toaster oven gave up the ghost. I searched on line for the lowest price on a new one and came up with iKitchens, about $70.00 lower than any other sites. Since I buy frequently on line and have never had a problem, I wasn't as careful checking on their pedigree as I should have been. Customer service (NOT) can only be reached via email. They say they will respond within 72 hours; they do not respond at all. I have emailed them twice in 3 weeks to no avail and just sent a third email today. I surfed the web looking for "iKitchen complaints" and got back thousands of hits instantly. Seems I'm not alone. I called the 866- number on their site (that says for "corporate inquiries" only) but got voicemail and hung-up on - several times. I found an 800 number in someone's post: 1-800-540-8563. The first time I called I was transferred to a fax line (nice touch).
The second time I got a curt 'hello' from some guy, did not even identify the company or himself, probably hoping I would think I'd dialed wrong and hang up. I told him immediately I wanted to cancel my order. He asked me nothing other than my order number (he's probably used to these requests by now). He gave me my name from the order number and said he would cancel it and he would alert me by email when he did (yeah, right). So I asked when my credit card would be refunded the $107.33. He said "within two weeks". We shall see.
I'm calling March 28 if I see no refund and will take further action at that point if need be. I work for a large law firm and I am sure I can find some advice just down the hall from me. Stay away from this company. This is the first review/complaint like this I've written. The savings are NOT worth the hassle!
