CheapTickets.com Complaint - The worst service ever
My father passed away, and we had to bu tickets to go to Mexico on a very short notice. We both tickets for myself and my wife from cheaptickets.com. We received a confirmation email and an itinerary, when we arrived to the airport, the airline did not have a ticket for us. We called customer care at cheaptickets.com and they told us that they did not buy the tickets, but did charge our credit card, and that all the money would be refunded. They did not even apologize for it, as if this normal with them. When we called directly to the airline 800 number they told me cheaptickets.com only posted half of my itinerary (only on the way to my fathers funeral), but did not post an itinerary on the way back, and they did not even try to buy the ticket. In other words the showed what they wanted but never bought, and even then it was not complete.
So now we were stuck at the airport, we cannot wait, after all it is my Dad's funeral I have to go to. We had to buy another set of tickets straight from the airline at a cost of over $800.00 from what we had paid cheap tickets for.
On my return from my funeral, I found that they had still charged me transaction fees. When I talked to them, the attempted to solve the situation with a coupon for a discount on a later flight. I would never do business with them again.
DO NOT USE cheaptickets.com This company cannot be trusted if you plan on getting to your destination on time. They will charge your credit card, even if you do not get what you paid for.
