PizzaAlleys Chianti Room Complaint - Rude Hostess - Service
ST. AUGUSTINE, FLORIDA -- At 7pm on March 15th, 2008 we were asked to meet my daughter and her new husband and some of his family at a restaurant in St. Augustine of St. George St., called Pizza Alleys. My wife and son and my daughter-in-law with our two grandchildren arrived but we could not find our party. Turns out they were in the back of this restaurant which was reached by walking down a narrow hallway. In the back was another door which said PizzaAlleys Chiante Room. With some drinks in our hands my wife and I were escorted into the restaurant where over twenty other family members were already there and seated. Two tables were empty where we were supposed to sit.
My daughter- in-law, gather my two grandchildren and their drinks and entered the restaurant only to be challenge by some rude obnoxious female Hostess. Literally yelling and pushing at my daughter-in-law to get out of the restaurant since they purchased the drinks up front at their Pizza Restaurant which they own and it is in the same building. Never was she given the opportunity to tell the Hostess that she was join a large party inside and tables were reserved for us. My daughter-in-law was brought to tears from the way she was treated in front of her two girls. My son was not with them when this happened. My wife and I who were already seated heard what happen and left our party and our daughter and new son-in-law immediately.
Once I found ut what happened I went back inside to find the Hostess who proceeded to say that she never knew they were joining a party already in the restaurant. I told her that she never go the opportunity with her abusive manners and shouting. I have sent a letter to the Better Business in Jacksonville, Fl., as this business is not a member of the St. Augustine Chamber of Commerce. I'm asking for an incident report from management and an apology to my daughter-in- law.
