Cruise Value Center Complaint - Warning! Caution! If You Decide To Use Cruise Value Center - Cruise Booking - Service

Cruise Booking - Service - Complaint
Review by Twinkletoes on 2008-03-20
EAST BRUNSWICK, NEW JERSEY -- Cruise Value Center - avoid at all costs, terrible company. They are rude, dishonest, unreliable, and has horrible customer service!

The price listed when booking online is the final price. No price adjustments available after booking online. Which means if your cruise has a price drop, Cruise Value Center will not honor it. If they do, they discourage you by imposing a $50 p\p fee.

Cruise Value Center charges a $50 per person fee for changes, if you misspell your name ouch! They will charge you for it.

Cruise Value Center will impose a $75 per person fee for cancellation plus any penalty from the cruise line. Cruise Value Center will offer you shipboard credit at time of booking and will change it after booking, stating they made a mistake.

Even though this consolidator offers cruises at reasonable prices, I would rather spend my money on friendly, honest, ethical, caring Travel Agent than to be taken for a ride after booking. Needless to say that we will no longer be using Cruise Value Center.

My recommendation... .STAY AWAY!!!!!!! Best of luck to anyone who uses Cruise Value Center.

And if anyone tells you they had a great experience using CVC, they probably never requested a price drop adjustment, never needed to cancel or change booking, or never communicated with CVC after booking cruise.

My recommendation, read Cruise Value Center Terms of Use under Cruise Payment and Review. Remember, you have to click the check button to proceed. Since you obviously were able to purchase, that means that you read and ACCEPTED the rules.

ALso, when you booked the reservation you agreed to pay THAT amount. What if the price goes up after booking and they made you pay additional fees, would you think that is fair?

The standard in the industry is not to charge these extra fees. I think the OP was correct to make us aware of this. I just used them and they are terrible. Worst I have ever used. I agree with the OP avoid at all cost as customer service is terrible and you are treated badly after you book. You will never get a return call... NEVEr

Unemployed I too am unemployed I worked for Cruises of Distinction in Bloomfield Hills Mi. We are so mad at what they did, how can you get away with charging c/c months ahead of time and keeping the money. I have clients that have no idea that they do not have a cruise,Richard and Ron I'm so glad that Fox 2 news came to your office on Monday and ran the story at 6 o clock Bill Gallerger did a good thing!!!! Also anybody out there expecting a refund keep waiting because you will never see it!! Hey R&R How did you get that brand new car sitting in the parking lot the day we got our walking papers?

Ron and Richard Smith should be jailed. They stole from the employees and from clients and now many are unemployed, the clients are stressed and their dream vacations ruined. The industry, good agencies and agents are now scared. It's so very sad for all of us.
