AT&T Universal Card Complaint - Fraudulent charge by merchant
I recently had a fraudulent and authorized series of charges placed on my ATT Universal credit card account by Intelliflix- ATT Universal would do nothing to help me charge this back. In fact, I had to cancel my credit card with ATT Universal to stop Intelliflix from continuing to charge amounts to my credit card on an unauthorized basis. ATT Universal Disputes department, despite receiving lots of documentation, told me they could do nothing to help me because the vendor would not issue a credit. Intelliflix is being investigated in many states for unauthorized transactions of this nature. ATT Universal told me I needed a paper credit card transaction record. Impossible to do when you sign up for a service online! BUYER BEWARE!
So if you use this credit card and have a problem with a vendor who does unauthorized transactions, you will likely get NO help from the disputes department in charging these unauthorized charges back. They were rude and unhelpful in every way. I have been a great customer with them for over 10 years- and I was treated like dirt.
