Spirit Airlines Complaint - Spirit Sucks! - Airline
FT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA -- I just recently went on my honeymoon to Montego Bay Jamaica. The night before we left my husband tried checking our bags online, so we would only pay $10 instead of $20. Wouldn't you know that their system was down. This should have been a hint of the crap that was about to start. When we got to the airport in the morning we explained our situation and he actually let us check our bags for the $10 since it was down and told us to do the same on our return flight (That man was the only positive experience on spirit).
The leg room on spirit (or should I say the lack of) was ridiculous. I am only 5'5 and by the end of the short flights my legs were cramped. My husband is 6'1 and he was miserable.
On the way back from Jamaica was the worst. We explained about trying to check in online but how the system was down, but none of that mattered to the customer service rep and proceeded to charge us the $20 each bag. After learning from the previous leg room issue we upgraded to first class. You think in first class that they would at least give you a free soda. Nope...not this cheap airline. We couldn't even get a glass of water free for first class.
The flight attendants were rude and nasty, none of my flights left on time and I made a vow to NEVER fly Spirit again.
They are definitely a bargain airline and it shows by the way their airline is run. You can't reach anyone on the customer service line, and from reading other reviews once you do you get hung up on and get someone who doesn't even speak English.
I am definitely paying the extra $100 next time to fly a REAL airline.
