General Motors Complaint - Warranty
NY, NEW YORK -- In June 2005 I purchased a 2005 Pontiac Montana with an extended warranty. Around Sept 2006 I had to have the front brakes and rotors replaced
at 14,000 miles under the warranty.
March 2008 at 32,600 miles I had tires replaced and was informed my front and rear brakes and rotors need replacing. I went to GM dealer thinking the rotors would be under warranty as the replacements had approx. 18,500 miles in a year and a half. I was informed by the dealer that they were not covered because there was rust and corrosion probably caused by New York winter weather including salt on the roads. We spend 3-4 months in Florida during the winter months
I feel there is a problem with materials used in this car and has nothing to do with NY winters.
We will NOT purchase or recommend another GM vehicle.
