Sweetwater.com Complaint - Sweetwater.com has terrible customer service
I was looking for a guitar strap for my boyfriends birthday, and I stumbled upon Sweetwater.com. They had free shipping and that was attractive b/c Guitar Center was charging too much for their shipping. I placed my order for 2 guitar straps 1 week before I needed the order, which was cutting it close, but a few days late would be fine. The confirmation email informed me that all items were in stock and would ship in 3 business days. Three days later I went to the website to see if my order had shipped, and nothing. I waited a few more days, checked again, and still nothing. I called the customer service to see what the hold up was, and the man informed me that one of my items was on backorder and both items would ship in 3 weeks. I told him that it was a birthday present and I needed it ASAP, and that I never received ANY information that anything was held up on my order. When I placed the order the website said everything was in stock. The man on the phone got snappy with me and said that wasn't his fault, it was the system. I DON'T CARE IF IT'S THE SYSTEM!!!
It's your company, make this right! I told him to cancel my order and that I'm going to take my business to Guitar Center. He said he would cancel my order and then he hung up on me. Now that's customer service!
