Conn's Appliances Complaint - Conn's has horrible service
AUSTIN, TEXAS -- We purchased the washer/dryer unit in late November and the washer started to act up in early January. We purchased the extended warranty thinking it would add service after the sale. The locking device started giving us trouble and we could not wash our clothes. I called the service department in San Antonio and they sent a technician a week later and he said it was fine. A couple of days later it failed again. They sent another technician a week later and he said it was the locking device and he would order the part and they would call us when it came in. Two weeks went by and no call - I called them and another week goes by and they sent another technician. He brought no locking device and he said they he would have to order the part. I called a couple of days later to see if the part had been ordered. They gave me extension for the parts manager. I left [the parts manager] over 20 messages and he never called back. I kept calling the service line and I was hung-up on numerous times and I demanded to speak to supervisor. She told me that I needed to check with the parts manager and he would tell me if the part was ordered and then they would schedule the repair.
To date I have never heard from [the parts manager]. I then wrote two emails to Conn's and the only thing they did was forward my email to [the parts manager] - still no reply. After two more weeks the part came in and they replaced it. During the repair the technician tore the door gasket and it started leaking. Here we go again.
After two more weeks and more calls and being hung-up on they fixed it this week. It only took them two months. There store is exactly what it says - Conn's because they con you. They even told me to buy the part and and to repair it myself.
Do Not Buy from Conn's because they are a rip-off and have horrible service after the sale.
