Furniture and Appliance Mart / Ashley Furniture Informative - After the Sale
GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN -- I recently made the decision to purchase all new appliances in 'Easy Care' Stainless Steel for my kitchen. I did some pricing and after some extensive negotiations and price matching - was able to get, what I thought was an acceptable deal at 'The Appliance and Furniture Mart' (Owned By Ashley Furniture) in De Pere Wisconsin. The Salesman seemed to have all the answers. I didn't want bottom of the line and it was important they all matched and were a part of the same line. Let's cut to the chase. After the deliver was delayed by over a week and a half the stove was a different model that I had thought- but when I call the salesman lacking in customer service skills indicated "It matches and I sell that range with that set all the time". Did I mention the range was also damaged. The stainless face is all dented up- reminds me of hail damage. "But they will send someone out to FIX it." I noticed something strange with the side-by-side refridge also upon delivery- however the delivery guys insisted it was just the 'goop' they used to re-attach the handles after getting it in my house- not the case. Upon cleaning it after they left- yes they had put gouges in the face of the refridge in four different spots.
Again the salesman "we will send someone to assess it and FIX IT"- yes fix Stainless. I am sure. AFTER discussions with the manager of the store- they will replace the faceplate on the range and replace the fridge. What do I get for all my frustration, anguish and additional time spent dealing with all this.. Barely an apology.
Perhaps some insight to never shop there again!
