Lowe's Complaint - In your house in 7 days is misleading
MAPLE GROVE, MINNESOTA -- I ordered a area rug 8x10.5 at the Lowe's in Maple Grove, Minnesota back on 3/1/2008 with the guarantee that the rug was going to be in my home no later then 7-10 days.10 days passed by and I thought I would give the store a call to see where it might be. I spoke to the salesperson John who informed me he would call me back and let me know if it was going to be delivered or if it would be at the store. He didn't know? Well later in the day I received a voice mail from the computer that stated the rug was at the local Lowe's. Went up to the store that night and when they were bringing me the rug it was the wrong one. The salesperson ordered the wrong rug. If he would've written down the model number in the first place this might not have happened. His answer to me was sorry dude. Well I has traveled 20 miles on a Monday night to retrieve it and that's what I hear from him. Arrggghh.
Anyways the saga continues the manager on duty that night corrected the mistake I thought and told us it would be delivered within the week and he would calls us and let us know when to expect it either at my house or the store. Guess what no call. I called the store on the 3/15/2007 and the store manager Dave could not follow up until the 17th. Well guess what we found out later in the week the rug was being shipped from over sea and that the vendor would not receive it until 3/20/2007 and have it delivered to my house until 3/26/2008.Then I received a call after calling the manager Dave that day and some nice lady Jennifer called me to tell me that the rug would now be delivered on 3/31/2008.
So do not believe the 7 days in your house. Also be careful in reading the placard. The rug was an additional $32.00 from the $322.00 we were already paying because it was not in stock at the store. If Lowe's would've been honest and let me know the rug was on back order from the beginning instead of making me think they had it in there warehouse I would've shopped elsewhere.They state the rug is free now but I will believe it when I see it.
I already paid the credit card for the purchase. How nice..shame on you Lowe's. Bad service all around.
