Wal-Mart Complaint - Wouldn't accept business check
MANNING, SOUTH CAROLINA -- I live in a very small town where Wal-Mart employees should and do know me as a "local". I also have a business in town. I went to Wal-Mart to purchase a $200 "shopping card" so I could save 3 cents on gas. The hitch?? They wouldn't accept my company check because it wasn't "hand-written". I went through three "managers" and finally a "CSM" and 45 minutes of nothing. Obviously, no one had ever heard of Quick Books or any other software that prints checks. I had positive ID, and several credit cards with my name and my business name on the check. After embarrasssment and holding up a million people in line, I left.
All I can say is this so-called "policy" is in friggin sane!!! A bunch of ignorance in high places.
