WalMart-OnLine with Ship to Store Complaint - WalMart Ship to Store: Expectations not met.

Review by Greg Scholz on 2008-03-30
Resolution Update on 04/01/2008:
Ill mark this as resolved because I have my products and the out of guidelines delivery dates no longer apply, but, I am sure they have not fixed the problem.
CLOQUET, MINNESOTA -- WalMart Ship to Store expectations not met, even before product arrives.

The terms and conditions allow for 48 hours processing time, plus an additional 7-10 business days.

The shipping estimate provided for my items is 3 days longer than than 10 business days plus 48 hours. 3 DAYS! This clearly does not meet even their own guidelines. There has been no other communication from them. They appear to be hoping the shipments will arrive faster than they say, or hoping I will not make a fuss about it.

It is another example of WalMart wanting to teach us the public, to accept lower expectations. I for one will hold to my standards. If you say it should be here in 7-10 business days, plus 48 hours for order processing time, you should make every attempt to meet that expectation, and should apologize as soon as you can.

I do not see this as a positive experience.

*****Update my products have arrived. The notification email arrived 5 business days in, (+48 hours for processing) and picking up was relatively painless.
I am pleased and excited by the speed at which my products arrived. But I still find the estimated delivery date outside of their guidelines disturbing.

Great! I just ordered online through a baby registry and had the item shipped to the store. Now I wish I had paid the $7 in shipping fees. Oh well - hopefully it will arrive before Saturday!!!

Boy!! Do I ever need glasses. I was reading 'Ship to Shore,' rather than 'Ship to Store' and wondered when Wal*Mart got into the boat business.

Jeez, Ponie...I feel better knowing someone else read it the same way I did. I blew over the post because I know nothing about marine communications equipment. Next stop...the optometrist.
