Wal-Mart Complaint - Wal-Mart Receipt Review
GERMANTOWN, MARYLAND -- I was shopping in Wal-Mart on March 29, 2008, upon entering my niece was bringing back a computer monitor that she wanted to exchange. There was no one at the front door when she went in with the monitor so she wasn't able to get a sticker. The store was full and it was hard to get anyone to help so we just started shopping. When she went through the line to pay for the purchases the cashier inquired about the monitor and we explained to her it was ours. I paid for my items and than upon leaving the store was confronted by security. I have a problem with the way Wal-Mart handles customers upon leaving the store. Sometimes they are overly agressive.
I feel they should post something that says they will be looking at your receipt when you exit the store. They just randomly select who they wish; it is obvious to me that they are very selective in their process. Most times I tell the person at the door that I am not going to show them my receipt. Anyway, the security guards came and made a deal about the monitor, he grabbed my arm and became abusive with his language at which time I told him I did not want the items I had just purchased which amounted to a little under $100.00, I was just fed up, he took my receipt and I walked out warning him that I was going to be following up with this incident, I am just sick and tired of this process at Wal-Mart. I would not have had a problem with this if they posted their intentions and than made sure they have a person at the door that can ensure that persons walking in with products to return are in fact seen and documented.
I am going to stop shopping at Wal-Mart after this experience. I am in the process now of getting my money back, they didn't even want to give me my money back from the purchase I had just made.
