Sprint PCS Complaint - Reception is curiously getting worse and worse...
When I bought my Treo in late 2005, it was top of the line then, and the plan I bought was current (meaning sprint thought it gave them enough spending money). My cell reception virtually anywhere was great. As time has gone by, I have noticed a decline in reception. I am at more than 2 years into the contract, and was browsing recently to see if I could get a new Treo. Well, the current plans are at least double what I am paying now, for less than what I receive.
So, of course, I am staying with my current Treo (the newer versions have gotten poor reviews anyway). But, my cell phone reception now is almost at zero anywhere. I can hear others, but virtually no one can hear me anywhere. I suspect Sprint is trying to force me into either leaving because they can't rob me; or into buying a new phone with a new plan (that should include gold nuggets, based on the prices!). I am not sure this is technically possible, but if it is, I'll bet that's what they're doing.
Oh, also, btw (tangent): do you all remember when text messaging was free, when voice dialing was free, and when mp3 players with phones were actually really good players! None of that is true now. If companies could find a way to charge us for our own feces, they would do it! In fact, my feces resemble a lot of Sprint products!
