Walt Disney World Complaint - Walt Disney No Fun At All

Complaint
Review by briggs on 2008-04-02
FLORIDA -- MY WIFE & I planned a vacation with our 7 year old triplets. We just returned last Sat. 5 days of hell the parks were packed, no fast passes. I will never go back.

I've never realized how great Virginia is - Kings dominion, Bush gardens, the beach ,half the price. English preferred language. We stayed at the Nickelodean hotel the last 2 nights, this was our only fun in Florida.

Disney needs a new slogan YEAR OF A MILLION NIGHTMARES.

I would be helpful if you would enlighten us as to the problems you encountered. I understand you are annoyed. But why?

Chuck, all I can get here is "5 days of hell the parks were packed no fast passes" maybe that it?

English preferred language?
Well, don't forget...it's a small world.

When is Kings Dominion or Bush Gardens not packed? I remember going to Bush Gardens and getting on like 3 rides all day. If the crowds were the reason you'll never go back, you should change your slogan to "I'll Never Go Back... DURING Spring Break."

I love it when people go to Disney during school vacation and then complain how crowded it was.

Virginia is for lovers!

Yoke - you nailed it. I just returned from Orlando for a business trip and yes, the town is smothered with vacationing families.

I dread going to Orlando for business. Always to and from there is some parent on board that can't or won't control their kid.
Took my grandkid on a trip with me and he was kind of rowdy before we got on the plane, explained to him that surely he was smarter than my dog because the dog would sit down and shut up when I told him to. Worked like a charm.

We did Disney in Feb during vacation. We expected the crowds and dealt with it. No matter where we went it was crowded.

You should try to plan your family vacation around college breaks. Then the parks won't be as packed as they were.

I think there may have been a hint when he capitalized MY WIFE...all theme parks are crowded...you just have to deal with it and go in with a positive attitude...if you start out ticked off...it won't get anything but worse.

we have been to Walt Disney World over 40 times in the past 6 years and there are several key points to having an enjoyable vacation. 1) know the peak seasons 2) know the peak days at each park 3) know the weather 4) PLAN!

You MUST do your homework. If you expect to just "show up" at WDW and have a great time, you will be sorely disappointed. If you know that you don't like crowds, do NOT plan a trip any other time than low season and do NOT visit one of the parks on it's peak days. If you know that you do not like hot weather, do NOT plan a trip between May and September.
Don't try to do "a park a day" MK is too many rides, MGM is too many shows, EPCOT is to much walking, and AK really doesn't take a whole day. Mix it up some.

Unless you are staying at WDW several weeks, know what you really want to see/ride, do those first, then go from there.

Don't arrive to the parks late during peak season and expect plenty of fast passes to be left, especially to the newer rides.

In a nutshell: Plan your trip! Even though we have been over 40 times, we still plan it out every single time...which parks on which days at what times.

Hope this helps someone.

MsCantBeWrong has it just right. Our last trip to WDW was in the summer, so not only was it somewhat crowded but it was HOT and extremely humid as well. Oh well..that's Florida for ya.
