Conn's Appliances Complaint - XBox Nightmare
SUGAR LAND, TEXAS -- I bought an X box live from Conn's in Nov. 2007 for my son's Christmas present. Less than a week after Christmas the controller and console quit working. I contacted Conn's and was told by a clerk that it was microsoft's policy to deal with broken appliances and that I needed to contact them. I asked to speak to a manager and he said that all he could do was tell me to contact microsoft, that he COULD NOT refund me for this defective product. I have a receipt for this item from Conn's, but according to the manager this does not mean that I can return it for another or get my money back. It is now April 2008 and we are waiting for our THIRD Xbox from microsoft since the refurbished ones they send us do not work. My son has yet to enjoy his Xbox and Conn's has our money. A microsoft employee said that Conn's should have refunded our money. I have since talked to other appliance stores that sell Xboxes and they all have said that they exchanged or refunded money for broken Xboxes.
Conn's lied to me when they said they were "unable" to refund are exchange. The term should have been "unwilling". I will never buy from Conn's again.
