Sprint PCS Complaint - Acknowledge My Payment Sprint PCS!!! - Paid Bill With Cash In Sprint Store

Paid Bill With Cash In Sprint Store - Complaint
Review by luckofchuck on 2008-04-03
I paid my SPRINT PCS bill in cash at an automated machine over a month ago (store #448 in Weslaco, TX), and I have a receipt to prove it. SPRINT PCS refuses to acknowledge the payment and left me on hold for over an hour on more than one occasion. I also haven't received acknowledgment that there even IS a dispute in writing.

The store where I made the payment concedes that the payment was received, but SPRINT PCS stubbornly and without adequate reason won't take the store's assurance that the receipt is valid.

I have sent proof by fax to SPRINT PCS as well as by email. These too have gone unacknowledged.

I have had my service disconnected on four separate occasions. Each time the phone was turned on after verbally wrangling with customer service.

Now, I'm expected to send a certified letter to Sprint with the ORIGINAL receipt to a different company. After all the disappointing experiences with Sprint's lack of efficiency I have no expectation that the receipt would not be lost, misplaced, or simply ignored.

Sprint Corporation has shown throughout this ridiculously drawn out process (over a month) that they have absolutely NO respect for me as a customer.

Honestly, the most galling aspect of this entire ordeal is the fact that Sprint PCS assumes from the start that I am at fault and need to prove to them that I'm not a liar and a thief.

Anyone considering a wireless company should consider my experience, and the experiences of others, when they decide on a wireless provider.

DO NOT send the original receipt. Send only a copy. They want you to send them the original so they can deny it exists. Advise them that the only way they will have access to the original will be before a judge.

At this point you should make all correspondence in writing, certified mail/return receipt requested. You are going to need this paper trail.

Chuckie is absolutely right...and if they want to verify the authenticity of your COPY, they can do so with the number on your receipt through the records from the automated machine you used.

I highly doubt sprint is trying to cover up a payment and trying to make a extra few dollars on a error by the machine, thats just a bad luck experience and rare, i would make the store call and handle it with the finance department.
