Comcast Corporation Informative - Comcast Admits To Reading Your Emails
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA -- I've been - no, I *was* a Comcast customer for four years and yesterday some jerk from Comcast called and screamed at me because I had exceeded my data transfer allotment for the month! I told him the contract I signed said my data transfer was unlimited but he said the amount could be determined by Comcast at their discretion. And he was telling me that my up/downloads were excessive and that my email attachments were too big. To the latter I asked what he was talking about and he said they read all of my emails and review all of my email attachments and said they were too large and too numerous.
Needless to say I told him to stick his stupid account as far up his arse and it would go and to close my "$1300 a year" account. "Well, now there is no need to do that, we're not closing your account, we're asking that you curtail your online time to something more normal."
I hung up, called Comcast billing and closed my account. NO ONE ANYWHERE other then the recipient is going to read my emails or look at my attachments. It's that simple folks. DO NOT sign up with Comcast because they will monitor, read and report everything you do.
