Dish Network Complaint - Very Abusive Company
IVA, SOUTH CAROLINA -- I wish to file a complaint against the Dish network. I opened an account about five months ago in Florida with the understanding that when I move they would set-up their equipment at my new location in South Carolina. They refused to set-up their equipment, therefore, they broke the contract and I will no longer pay for the service.
Their excuse is that the installer refused to set the equipment in a detached house, only in the main house. In Florida, I had the same set-up, a detached building. I had no problem with the installer in Florida. They set it up perfectly. The contract was with three receivers. I only needed one for the house. My home is not that big. I only have one television in it.
When I speak of detached building, the detached build is only 20 feet from the main house. Besides, the detached building is pre-wired. In other words, the installer only had to run a cable from the dish to the outside wire. only 20 feet. I was also willing to dig a hole and run it under the sidewalk. I explained this, yet, the installer refused to install the equipment.I spoke to a representative numerous times about this matter.
Each and every one of them said that I refused service, and didn’t allow the installer to do his job. This is totally false. The people at Dish Net Work are telling me things in some kind of data report they keep that I never said.
They also have me signing a paper stating that I am happy with the service.
When the installer began installing the equipment, he tore a hole in my screen.
I complained how he ruined my screen. So they sent a man over to fix it. I signed a paper saying that I was pleased how he fixed the damage.
Later, it turns out, they say that I signed a letter that I was happy with the service, including installation. Nothing could be further than the truth.
I tell the representatives this, and say that every thing is my fault.
It’s like talking to a wall with these people, from the management down.
They continue billing me for service that I am not getting. Furthermore, they owe me $55 from when I paid and didn’t get any service.
A representative said I would receive a check. This was three months ago. I still not have received a check. Surely, I cannot be the first customer to deal with this harassment. People must know what kind of abuse they have to deal with, then they deal with Dish Network.
Here’ is what I demand:
Close my account, and do not send me anymore bills, and refund me $55 because of service I did not receive.
