Ashley Furniture Complaint - Delayed Delivery - Accurate Product Delivary Dates
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- I recently purchased a new home. I searched several furniture stores in the Las Vegas area. I walked into our local Ashley furniture store and was greeted immediately by a salesperson, who was obviously new but, very helpful. He made suggestions and observations and recommended several different options of furniture that would work for our lifestyle. I was very pleased with the service I received while trying to make selections for my new home. I finally made those selections and went through the process of setting up delivery. This purchase was made on January 29,2008, with the first delivery set up for Feb 28, 2008. and the other items to follow on March 22, 2008 due to a delay or backorder of one of the three items coming with the second order. I was okay with this arrangement and agreed to it.
After the first delivery was made, I realized that one of the tables was not listed to the original order. I, then visited the store again and purchased two more items of furniture and two more pictures. I asked if those items could be delivered with the other furniture being delivered on March 22,2008. The salesman then came back and said that they couldn't deliver those items with the other order because their truck was already book as being full and we would either have to have it delivered separately or pick it up at the warehouse when it arrives. I agreed to pick it up (since we had already waited almost 2 months for the other items.
On or about March 20, 2008(just 2 days before our scheduled delivery) I received a call from the Ashley Furniture customer service dept saying that our final three pieces of furniture would not be delivered as scheduled due to a delay in one of the three items ordered. I then asked "why they could not deliver the other 2 items and deliver the other item when it came in and I was told " they did not have any of the items in the warehouse." obviously I was very upset because we had ordered these items 2 months in advance and felt that was plenty of time for them to acquire and deliver the items.
It is now April 11, 2008 and we still do not have the items ordered and no satisfaction in getting this situation resolved..... In almost $6000.00 in purchases I feel very discouraged with my choice to select Ashley Furniture for my furniture purchase and will think very hard and long before purchasing from them again....
very discouraged in Vegas
