Excel Ford Lincoln Mercury - Carthage, TX Complaint - Extended Warranty Not Covered

CARTHAGE, TEXAS -- We bought a Ford f-250 from Excel Ford Lincoln Mercury, with it we bought an extended warranty. The dealership got the vin number mixed up with another truck. They never sent the new vin number to the warranty company. So we were never covered under the warranty. They refuse to help us out with this. We have been out $2218 on repairs plus the cost of the warranty $1051. Which all we have ask is they give us our warranty money back. They have been very uncoroperative, putting us off every time we call.

You may wish to speak to attorney on this. I'm not sure a case couldn't be made that they are responsible for the repairs. You have a warranty contract sold by them. If they failed to do something proper to keep it in force, sounds like their problem. They really should have refunded your warranty money without hesitation if you asked me. No matter what, that's the least they probably will be spending here.

I agree with Slim...they can't take your warranty money, screw up the vehicle identification number so you are not covered AND expect you to pay for repairs and not do anything to make it right.
