If you are interested in your home warranty fixing covered items, please avoid First American Home Warranty at all costs. We have been waiting since December for our dishwasher to be repaired. We have yet to receive a call back from any of the supervisors we have escalated this issue to - they promised to assign a specialist, or follow up themselves...LIE. We were told we would receive a refund for our deductible due to the issues encountered.... LIE. We were told they were going to replace the dishwasher and would be mailing us a check....LIE. After waiting 30 days for the check to arrive (expecting anything sooner with this company would be right up there with buying the winning lottery ticket), I made a follow up call. Since no one had done anything on the account in 30 days, our claim had been closed. Apparently if they ignore if for 30 days, it does go away.
Lucky us, we were 'allowed' to open another claim and start the process again... While I could detail each of the many service (or lack of service) calls on this claim, I would hope this is enough to spare at least one reader the frustration and lack of results First American Home Warranty provides.
