Ashley Furniture Informative - Same Damaged Sofa Delivered Twice
ATLANTA AREA, GEORGIA -- We purchased a Ciara Adobe Leather Sofa and Loveseat at Ashley Furniture. When the set was delivered 2 days later, the sofa had a big scratch on the back so we refused delivery of it. We kept the loveseat only to discover a flaw later. Ashley's stand was that this was unique to leather (we disagree) and sent out a technician because, in Ashley's words, "if you had refused it to start with, we wouldn't be having this conversation." Fortunately the technician was friendly and professional and we ended up keeping the loveseat (though we still feel uneasy about it).
We were told another sofa would not be available until 4/16. When the sofa first arrived today, we did not see the damage but just as they were about to take it in the house we saw that it was the exact same sofa, but the scratch along the back had been badly covered with mismatched stain. For the price of this set it we expected better quality and are very disappointed.
Our salesperson is still working to make this right but we are very unhappy with this experience. I will try to post an update once this is resolved.
UPDATE: The 3rd time was a charm. Our sofa was delivered 4/22 and is in excellent condition. The delivery guys were friendly and professional and within 20 minutes the company called to verify that the sofa was in good condition.
