US Airways Complaint - New Orleans Or Bust!
After arriving at the airport on a Saturday afternoon, over two hours prior to our boarding time and making it through airport security within 10 minutes, the trip appeared as though it was going to be a breeze-not so much! Our flight was delayed. As we had a connecting flight we were rerouted through DC on another airline making it to New Orleans well after midnight. All of that to find that our luggage had been lost! I guess we were one of the lucky ones that got a flight at all....that is....if you consider being stuck in airports for hours on end and then stranded in New Orleans after midnight with no luggage and no shuttle (they were closed for the night) is being lucky! Our luggage finally appeared in the wee hours of the morning that Monday! No clothes, no toiletries, no nothing! Doesn't end there...on our way home we went through Charlotte for our connecting flight. Our plane landed at 9:30PM in Concourse B and we were scheduled to board our connecting flight at 9:30PM in Concourse E!! When we shared our concern with one of the flight attendants she informed us in a slightly combative tone that we landed on time! Was she serious?! Landing on time wasn't our concern-making the connecting flight time was our concern!
We then began a mad dash for our gate.. as we ran past a US Airways representative sitting on a golf cart we asked how close we were to Concourse E. Her response was a shrug as she grunted that she didn't know! Was it her first day and she missed orientation?!?! US Airways website indicates that customer service has always been a priority and that they are committed to making every flight count...count for who?? Buyer beware! Customer service is a "Has Been" at US Airways! I would walk across a bed of hot coals before I ever choose to fly with US Airways again!
