Priceline.com Complaint - Priceline.com Is A Bad Travel Company!
After seeing countless commercials for Priceline.com advertising, my husband and I decided to book our trip to San Diego through them hoping to get some cheaper rates. We started by booking the hotel...we get there, it looks pretty nice. Staff was great...we get into our room and it is a handicap room. They said we could upgrade for $20 more. Not a good room for a family of 4. I was extremely unhappy with Priceline for booking us a handicap room and not giving us the heads-up.
Then when we booked our car rental. We showed up to pick up the car and there is a BIG sign stating NO DEBIT CARDS unless you have a returning flight. We were locals but it didn't matter. The car was already pre-paid. We call Priceline and they said it would take up to 2 weeks for a refund. We ended up going to Avis and they were cheaper than Priceline by like $10 per day. Overall this was a disaster! You offer a price, they give it to you, but you cant make any requests on the accommodations. And then with the rental, they don't disclose that you would need a credit card to rent the car. So either way we would have been charged twice. Thats crazy!
I would not recommend this website to anyone. You can probably get rates cheaper directly with the hotel and car rental places.
