Best Buy Complaint - False Advertisement
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- About 2 years ago, my husband and myself purchased a lot of appliances from Best Buy, in a total of over $10,000, when we bought those items, in the news papers had an advertisement of 18 months NO INTEREST, the sales person never made any comments to explain about the 18 months no interest, neither gave us an option of paying the interest monthly, which is fine by us. Few months after we purchased those items, we made a large payment of over $5,000, and were left with less than half to pay. We made monthly payments over double of the minimum required payments.
Two months ago we received a bill with over $2,000.00 of according to them DEFERRED FINANCE CHARGES, We were shocked, turned out that the 18 months NO INTEREST , there is interest, they just don't tell you upfront that it will all come back to haunt you at the end of the 18 months. We felt deceived, because if they had explained this in the day when we bought the appliances, and had them given us the choice, we would have chosen to pay the interest monthly. Now we have tried to discuss this with Best Buy, nobody can help us, we sent many letters, no answer. We refuse to pay this DEFERRED CHARGES, this is not what was said to us. This to us is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.
PLEASE HELP US.
