Nabisco Ritz Whole Wheat Crackers Complaint - Missing Crackers - Food

Review by cycolbur on 2008-04-19
I bought a box of whole wheat Ritz crackers at Hannafors in my town. I opened the box to discover that instead of 4 sleeves of crackers I only had 3 1/2. The box was sealed when I bought it so this happened at the company. The sleeve had about one half missing and it was neatly twisted at the top and put back into the box, not to mention some at the bottom of the box. I told the store and I called the company but this is something to think about.

Probably a packaging error at the Nabisco plant. If the box was glued and sealed, and the half-full stack pack doesn't appear to be previously opened, it would be a factory error. Far less likely is someone buying the crackers, eating half of the stack pack, putting the red plastic twistie back on the stack pack, re-gluing the box, and putting it back on Hannaford's shelf.

It happens with automated packing equipment. Last week at the grocery I picked up a box of frozen pizza and even though it was sealed it was empty.

PB, in your case you can truly say the pizza tasted like cardboard, right? :)

The sleeve was actually opened and twisted closed. There is no doubt that someone ate some.

Come on, have a little sympathy. Someone at the packaging plant just wanted a mid-morning snack.
