Larry Miller Ford Complaint - Games of the salesman

Review by Evan on 2008-04-19
SOUTH JORDAN, UTAH -- Went to a recent "TENT SALE" out at the district where 4-6 Larry Miller dealerships combined their used car inventory to liquidate inventory. Told our salesman that I had $12,000 cash and didn't want to pay a dime more. I found a car I liked, but was marked $15,000. Played the game of lets see what we can do. Back and forth goes the negotiation games. I told them I am not offended if they cannot accept my offer but I was not willing to pay more than $12,000. After an hour and a half of music blasting in the background and pressure I agree to $12,500 but couldn't stay for final paperwork.

Next day I confirm with my salesman that offer is still good and paperwork was complete (since cash deal) car is washed and gassed up and ready to go. I schedule an appointment that day to pick it up. I am dropped off at the location to pick up my car, just to go through the whole negotiation back and forth again. Finally they state that lowest they can go is $15,000 after I had already got the cashiers check for $12,500.

PS I just walked out.
