Hilton Hotels Complaint - Great Customer Service? Do Not Look Here. . .
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- I stayed at the Hilton Harbor Island San Diego, CA from March 27 – Apr 01 this year. I have never been so unsatisfied with the level of customer service from any hotel. We never received clean towels or linens even though we constantly asked the cleaning crew for them. Our bathtub was clogged the whole time we were there [which we called 3 times on but it never got repaired]. We were double charged for food. On top of all we were never once asked how our stay was. It just felt as if they really didn’t care for customer satisfaction.
Booking online showed a Marina View room, however did not mention anything about the hotel restaurant blocking almost the entire room. When asked if we could get a room with a better view, even if on the same floor we were told by the front desk that nothing was available without even looking for availability as if they were just brushing us off. When requesting the front desk call a cab, they simply remarked sure.Ten minutes later I decided to call again to see if they had already called and the estimated ETA and they stated "oh, it already came and left" - " should I call another one?" The only pleasing experience with the staff was with the Staff in the restaurant – top notch!
Having a beautiful hotel on the waterfront should NOT take away from the level of customer service, if anything it should only COMPLIMENT it.
