Chicken Breast Tenderloins Family Packs Informative - Buyer Beware!!
USA -- After experiencing this problem at Walmart first, I figured that was the problem but after getting freezer burned chicken breasts from King Soopers/Kroger and Safeway it seems to be a problem with all grocery stores and brands like Tyson Chicken.
They come in 5-7 pound plastic ziplock style bags and you really have to look close to see if the chicken is bad because of the Brand name and all of the other information they put on the bags. I know, keep your receipt and take it back if this happens but to the person not aware of this problem it could ruin a good cookout!
Just imagine if you already have a backyard full of hungry friends and family and you then notice the awful looking and smelling pieces of chicken. You now have to take the apron and chef hat off and go back to the store. Who needs that? I mean even if you are trying some remedial, Cooking Class 101 dish like "Wishbone Chicken" (chicken breast marinated in Italian Dressing) to a more advanced "Ranchalina Glazed Chicken" you don't want to be serving it up on a bad bird do you?
The easiest way to avoid this problem would be to buy the fresh stuff right from the meat department. You may pay a little more but it will save you from a backyard BBQ nightmare.
