Road Runner Complaint - Road Runner Tech Is Impossible
ASHLAND, KENTUCKY -- A tree hit my house. It also hit my car, but that's another rant. After that happened, I experienced intermittent loss of connectivity. I have to power cycle the modem every hour or so. I wrote RR tech for assistance. They sent back a form note telling me how to power cycle my modem. I wrote back that this did not address the problem. No answer.
Three months later, I tried again, having unplugged the modem 10,000 times by then. Same response, telling me how to power cycle my modem. I wrote back, and this time got a phone number. When I got a rep on the phone, he quickly decided it was my router at fault, and refused to do anything other than to tell me to unplug the router. I hung up on the bugger.
I did plug the computer directly into the modem, went to dinner, and lost connectivity. I called back and was put on hold listening to music that was designed, I am convinced, to run me off. After 10 minutes, a woman named Jennifer came on and offered to send a service person. Next week. Sometime between 8 and 4. I have to stay home.
This is the WORST customer service I have EVER seen. MAN! Does this burn me up. The whole course was designed to get me off the phone. My advice? Find another ISP.
