Vacation Consultants of America Complaint - Complaint Against VCA Travel For False Information
WESTPORT, CONNECTICUT -- Vacation Consultants of America is a Host agency for Home Based Travel Agents- per there website.
I joined with a contract in good faith to this company where I go threw them to reserve my clients cruises and tour packages. In turn- as per there website which I am listing so you can see "Exclusive Commission Tracking VCA does all your commission tracking. Agents receive their commissions immediately after their client travels. Agent commissions are processed and distributed every two weeks based on agent commissions due. Commission statements are issued with every check to ensure accuracy. This is off your website- and completely untrue.
In my opinion- they are committing fraud. Per my contract with them as a
home based agent- we are to be paid on commission when they are in house every
This company is a complete lie- I have not been paid for almost 10 weeks
now- nobody answers the phone at this company- I have left 20 e-mails- 30
phone calls for a return call- nothing.
I did get to by chance about 4 weeks ago talk with the president of the company and he stated they were having internal problems- was extremely rude and I
truly did not get anywhere. In good faith he did mail out a small check for passengers who traveled some time ago. He stated that he would review what was owed and start processing my money- of course he fell of the face of the earth- as you cant get in touch with him any longer.
I have now been in touch with a handful of other home based agents who use
them- and nobody has been paid- if so- very small checks.
I have the front and back copy of all the suppliers that I booked my clients cruises and tours with- when they sent the commission to VCA travel- when they were cashed- the amount - along with my print out of all client based invoices on total sales and when my clients paid in full.
VCA has had my commission for months now- and they don't' pay. Even though it states in the contract that I have - along for everyone to clearly see on there website that they state as listed above- it is completely untrue.
Its funny however- that after all the attempts to try and talk with someone at
this company- when you call the 800 # and press 1 for new sales- they
answer right away. They are wanting new bookings- but refusing to pay the agents who have contracts with them. When asking to speak with the manager, or accounting-they either hang up- or put you into a voice mail- they won't every speak
Also- I have clients stranded without documents- VCA even though clients
paid in full in good faith- since they do not return phone calls, communicate in anyway- they are also not mailing documents out to us. There website also promises the world if you join- customized websites, marketing tools, Iatan cards ( which I paid for- but was never given to me), it goes on and on- but it is all a lie. You pay this company a monthly fee- and in return- I have lost clients due to not having or delivering documents in time, this is loss of income to me- as this is my full time job- and expected per my contract to be paid every 2 weeks- you cant do this to peoples livelihood. I work extremely hard at being a travel agent-and to know that I have commission coming in that are over 3-4 months old- and the owner of VCA travel not taking your calls- or paying you- this is wrong.
We have all contacted the CT better business bureau, along with the
Attorney Generals office, along with the Connecticut Department of Labor- someone has to stop this company from fraudulent activity to other travel agents who join with them.
