Vonage Complaint - Vonage - Hidden Costs -- Dry Loop equals Double $$ for DSL
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA -- I have to follow the previous complaint about disconnecting fees and poor performance. Both were an awful awakening to me.
But my primary complaint is with the deceptive pitch that Vonage Sales give you when you sign up: They don't tell you that, when you cancel your phone service with your DSL provider,the cost of the DSL/broadband doubles with the carrier, in my case Verizon. When I reached them to complain they tried to sign me up with the only other broadband provider, Comcast, which would reduce the cost but get me cable for 6 months!! When I asked if there where any other options, the rep told me NO - Vonage only works with Verizon or Comcast. Seems like a sleazy and cozy relationship with their competitors. Since most subscribers, like myself, will go back to their provider for lower cost and more stable service, it's a windfall for Vonage.
They promise savings, but really can't deliver on what they already KNOW is the arrangement with the DSL providers. I smell scam and eggs!
