Frigidaire Complaint - Dishwasher Unresponsive
LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY -- This is a GLD3540rdq0 Frigidaire Gallery Series Dishwasher that is a little less than 4 years old. we bought this new and it is only me and my wife that have used it, averaging about 3 times a week usage. This unit is getting power but does not respond to any button pushed and nothing comes on the screen. I tripped the breaker off and then on 2 reset it, PF was then displayed on the screen. Followed the manual to get it back to operating mode nothing happened. The only way to way for PF to disappear was to activate the door latch. After PF disappears nothing ever comes on the screen and the d/W is dead.
Called Frigidaire for help/ guidance, they said the warranty is out and I have the limited warranty still valid and assured me that the technician service fee will be free if I called there service contract shop. That of course was a not true. I figured I do not need someone to come and tell me that my dishwasher is dead for $80 and fix it for $150-200. I will not be buying Frigidaire again. I know things like that maybe liable to happen to any appliance but misinforming me and disclaiming there is a problem that is common to this model is inappropriate way of doing business.
The problem by the way is in the Key pad and the Control Panel Board total cost that I won't pay top get it fixed is $230 for parts $80 for labor.
