President Supermarket Complaint - Expired Products At President Supermarket - Miami, FL

Review by judithucv on 2008-04-29
MIAMI, FLORIDA -- President Supermarket located at 8000 NE 5th Street Miami, Florida. 33138 is selling expired products.

Florida state regulation provides clear information about:

Perishable Food Shelf Life:
”It is unlawful to package perishable foods for sale without a clearly specified, uncoded, calendar date indicating when the shelf life of the product will expire”.

However, President Supermarket is selling expired products with new stickers that cover real dates. I try to call the business but nobody answered. I had to call city department of consumer protection to let’s them know what is going on at that place.

Cookies brand “Mana” dated on 22/12/ 07 are still on sale and is not obvious for customers to check under the stickers, I got very sick. From now on I rather drive extra miles and buy fresh cookies some place else (well, hopping and praying for getting them ; you never know, with Iraq and all three trillion invested on that war we have not rice, (JUST DON’T FORGOT THE HUMAN COST: 4,000 American soldiers. 600,000 Iraquies: kids, woman and man killed by our alive troops ) and so far, look like very soon we won’t have social security, schools, universities, hospitals but most of all… we will run out cookies. Mickey Mouse, por favor, comes to help us!!!!

Good review, until it devolved into social commentary on Iraq. Keep on the city's case until you get results.

'...we will run out cookies...' If we're lucky, that is.
