Wal-mart Complaint - Chargingfor products not gotten

Review by mad-in -tr on 2008-05-03
I was in the Three Rivers Mich store I purchaced several items from the clearence departments in fact that is my all time favorite place to look. when I went to the check-out first they over charged me then after they took part of the over charge off. then they charged me the clearence price . well that put the price back to the price they had originally had charged me. then they charged me for another one I BOUGHT 3 NOT 4 of this itam. then I was looking at my recpet and there is two items that I didn't get . this has not been the first time but when I went back they as much as told me I was mistaken. I might be old but I'm not stupid. I know that nothing will be done about this but I wanted to get it off my chest. I really like most of the wal-mart stores andwas really looking forward to one coming to my town but Iam so disapointed now.

The time to to discover that you've been charged for items not included is when you're in the store. Unless it's just one or two items that I have a pretty good idea of how much my total will be, I look over my receipt before I leave the store. If there's a discrepancy, it's handled immediately not when I return to the store.

Ponie, you are right to check the receipt in the store before leaving. However, the company does tend to charge people without the cashier's knowledge. If I see something prompting extra when checking the person out, I do a double-check to ensure they are not over-charged.
