Cavalier Telephone Complaint - Incomprehensibly Poor Customer Service
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND -- After switching services to another phone company, payments from my bank account continued. I called CAVTEL to get a refund in Nov 07 and was told no problem -- one would be issued. In Dec 07, when I called to follow up on my refund -- I was told that my account had been sent to a collections agency -- when CAVTEL owed me money. Talked to a couple of people and was told that my refund would be processed but it would take a couple of months for it to be processed. Two months later I send an email asking when I will receive my refund and the response is that the refund has been denied and the amount given for the refund is a quarter (25%) of the amount that the refund should be. I thought the probably was going to be handled timely by CAVTEL from my initial conversation with someone there.
Now it is too late to appeal thru my bank -- I feel like I have been swindled, cheated, lied to, robbed, and led down a dark alley by CAVTEL.
