Wal-Mart Complaint - Horrible Experience - Hair Salon
SOUTH CAROLINA -- I went to the Wal Mart super center hair salon. This was the worst experience of my life. I wanted a very simple cut with a few layers. Well there were 4 stylists there with no customers. I walked in asked about the cut and style and if any in there were able to handle it. The lady at the register said she would do it, to just have a seat and she'll call me. Well I felt, first off with no customers and 4 stylists...there should not of been any wait. But I waited anyhow. Waited 20 minutes before she finally got done yapping to the other stylists. She sits me down, asks me if I wanted the shampoo. I told her there was no need for I just came from another salon to have my hair colored. (I didn't want a cut from the other place because it was very pricey). Like I said this cut was simple and wasn't worth the price from this other place.
So she said "oh good, whatever." Instantly I felt that maybe I should of said yes to it, where at first I thought it was a favor to her to skip a step. But she formed an attitude about it.
So anyway, she begins spritzing my hair with water and just starts hacking hair off...straight to the short length. Most stylists work their way to the desired length, and make sure as it gets shorter that its the cut you really want. The other girls started to talk to her and was pretty much making her hurry. They wanted to do some lunch thing they were talking about. I caught a glimpse of her expression as she tells them shes gonna miss it because of me. She made this "I don't want to do this , nasty look". Shes almost got my hair to a short length that I asked for, all that was needed were my bangs a small spot on one side and some layers. When she plucks a piece of hair and walks away. comes back and says I cant cut your hair no more, you have nitts. I was like no I don't, I just came from another salon for coloring, they would of said something then. So thats crap. Then I asked to see the hair she pulled. she said she dropped it on the floor. I said well if I have them then pluck another out and let me see. then I made a comment thats its probably heavy dandruff.
I color my hair a lot and dryness was normal. She says "oh no I can't do that." I said its ok, pull one, I need to see. She refused to pull out another hair. The reason she refused was because there was nothing there. I told her, shes not gonna stop cutting, that she cant leave my hair half done. So she grabs a chunk and hacks it off, and says, "There, its the style you wanted". And sends me to the counter. well I'm paying, and as I'm paying shes grabbing her coat and hand bag and walking out with 3 of the girls. The girl at the register didn't say a word to me. needless to say, I'm in Wal Mart with chopped wet hair. I walked around for a bit to help my hair dry. I go to a mirror in the lady's department and notice, its shorter than I asked and there were no layers at all. Not a single layer. She was so worried about missing her lunch-in that she totally F*ed up my hair. well I went back over there and no one was even there. I had the customer counter page someone there, but no one showed. I waited a half hour. The girl at the counter knew the other girl purposely messed up my hair and didn't want to hear me complain.
Well, its the last time I will ever go there for a quick cut. Oh and by the way, I ended up going back to my other stylist, he said, all stylists check first. he said there was nothing but some minor dandruff in my hair. I had him give me the layers I had wanted, not to mention, he also had to even out my hair. one side was longer than the other. I left him a great tip along with his pricy layer cut. but he fixed it so guess it was worth it. Has anyone else had this kind of experience or one similar from wal-mart.
