Spirit Airlines Complaint - They were so rude
FLL, FLORIDA -- I will never fly Spirit Air again. At the last minute I decided to travel a day earlier, so I did not use my departing flight from DCA, but when I showed to use my returning flight from FLL I was notified my entire reservation had been cancelled. (I hadn’t read the fine print.) I was told by the agent, she would speak to the supervisor and have my ticket re-instated. She returned to notify me, she would not be re-instating my ticket and the only assistance she could offer was for me to buy a new ticket, because there were plenty of seats available on the flight. When I told her, I did not have the funds for a brand new fare, she quickly dismissed me.
I pleaded with several agents and the supervisor to no avail. I was told there was nothing to be done. I tried going to another agent. He said he would re-instate the ticket, but he looked in the system to see notes from the supervisor, and told me there was nothing he could do.
I asked the ticket agent to connect customer service for me, so that I may speak with some, they refused. When I tried consumer service from me cell, I was on hold 30 minutes, before speaking to someone, and I was put on hold for an hour when I asked to speak to their supervisor. I had to disconnect before anyone got back on the line.
This incident happened Tuesday, May 6th. There were available seats on the plane, and it w sot a practically busy travel day/time. There is no consumer service with Spirit Air.
