Tom Tom Informative - Miserable Cheap Company In My Opinion

DALLAS, TEXAS -- Bought a power supply/charger from Tom Tom. The product box the charger came in had promotional labeling indicating the charger was the correct charger for my personal navigation instrument. When I tried to charge the unit I discovered the wrong charger had been shipped. Tom Tom refused to let me return the unit for credit because the unit had been delivered to me by UPS more than 14 days prior to my request.

So, if that miserable cheap company, i.e., Tom Tom makes a mistake you had better discover THEIR ERROR within 14 days or they won't stand behind their erroneous actions. -- They are cheap and miserable in my opinion.

Did you actually buy this directly from TomTom? I went to their website and it gives you a listing of different places you can purchase their products, but it did not appear to me that you can buy the device or accessories directly from TomTom. We have a TomTom and love it.

Very helpful post. It raises the following question: If one buys something from Tom Tom to give as a gift (like buying Christmas gifts in October), and the recipient finds it to be the wrong model (or other defect), how would Tom Tom handle a return request?
