Holiday Inn Complaint - No Notification Of Hotel Not Opened
LAS CRUCES, NEW MEXICO -- I had contacted the main reservations number for Holiday Inn on March 2, 2008 for 2 nights in Las Cruces, NM for May 10 & 11th. I am a Priority Club member and the reservation process was easy. However, the problem was that no one had contacted me prior to my visit that the property was not open. When I tried to resolve this issue over the phone with customer service, while standing in the parking lot of the unopened hotel, they told me that the 2 confirmation numbers that I had were valid. The customer service representative was going to then place me in a room for $179.00 per night without any price match for the inconvenience. The original room rate was $89.00.
I got an attitude from the girl and was told that I must have "slipped through the cracks" when I questioned why I had not been notified. I am totally disappointed in the way that this was handled.
