Bob's Discount Furniture Complaint - Buyer Beware Bob's Discount Furniture
ATTLEBORO, MASSACHUSETTS -- My husband and I spent 3 hours of our lives last night in BOB'S. We are relocating to SC and need to purchase 3 complete bedroom sets, including the mattresses. After discovering nothing we wanted was in stock we settled on a couple higher priced sets and 3 of the Bob opedics you hear on the radio. The sales man(Al Silva) went to cash register and entered all the codes while I was there and gave us a price of $3320.59. We then went to the cafe to think. We decided that this was a good price and even though it was a little more than we wanted we would go for it.
We told the sales man ok and to place the order and he informed us that there was an error on his part and the new total was going to be $3615.64, we were not happy but said ok. He told us to please wait in the cafe while he entered our deliver date and had his manager(David Baker) sign off on the order. When he came back we went to the cash register where we noticed the invoice was changed again this time to $4611.04. He said this time he had miss charged us by leaving out 2 of the 3 mattresses we wanted. I asked to speak with the manager because it was crazy. This really felt like a bait and switch. The sale man new we were on tight budget and wanted to get us hooked, remember this was a three hour process.
The manager informed me he could not honor the price that was quoted to us on either quote and I could call who ever I wanted because I would only get him in the end anyways. Please let others know when you are buying anything be careful of BOB'S. I am attaching a copy of the invoices I have to show you. Please call me if you can help. My time is worth just as much as theirs and relocating 800 miles away, my time left with my family here is priceless to me.
Just an FYI after speaking with the regional manager(Lucas) for this wonderful company, they agree they make several adding mistakes but are not willing to honor any of there previous quotes, the only thing that are willing to do is pay the delivery charge to them selves since they own the delivery company.. I will forward this to the better business bureau for them to follow up and I am looking into Legal actions for misquoting on two accounts.
