Toyota of Goldsboro Complaint - Lack of customer satisfaction
NORTH CAROLINA -- Customer service is generally the key words any dealerships shouts at the general public when attempting to earn business. This particular company falls far short in my eyes. When trying to select a new(er) vehicle, the staff were helpful, and not overly pushy, and psuedo-informative. After the initial test drives and check outs, I decide to start comparison shopping. I come back to the place and from then on, its nothing but trouble. I traded in my older car, which they gave me a decent value on. No complaint there. I still think they could have haggled a bit more on the actual finance price, but that's not a huge concern. The problems however started upon going to the main lot. Somehow, the title for the trade in was lost. First hint of diminishing credibility. Second I drove off the lot with no insurance and a dealer tag. Not sure if that's right or not. The next day I get insurance quotes far higher than I expected, so I go to return the car. They tell me I can't, and there is no cooling off period for vehicles. I don't believe that one either. I finally find reasonable insurance and keep the car. I take it back to the dealership for the detail work (cleaning it up). The detail shop was slack to say the least. Had it detailed again today, and it's still not as clean as it should be. The kicker however was over the last few days. The company was supposed to take care of transferring the tag from my old one to my new one. Physically they did. Approximately 10 days later, I find out I've been driving around with dead tags because the transfer didn't go through and they had to purchase a new tag. Nobody bothered to inform me of this. Thank god I didn't get stopped. All in all, I've tried to give this company a fair shake, but they can't seem to get anything right.
