Vegabond Hotel - Palm Springs, CA Complaint - 110 degrees and no A/C?

Review by VegasBaby on 2008-05-19
PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA -- Room starts getting hot, mid-day. Call to front desk. "Everything is working". 8pm....room hotter. "Hmmmm, we'll look into it". 2:45am (no exaggeration) have to go out on deck because room is a sauna. Standing outside I notice just about everyone else is doing the same thing!!! I call again. "Oh...um...well the motor died yesterday morning..." They KNEW it was broken but didn't say anything for fear people would not check in or would leave early. How did they fix it? Offer fans? No. Offer to put us up elsewhere? No. Offer a refund? No. A reduced rate? No. An apology? No.

The place was clean, etc., but that was just not acceptable service, honesty, handling, or resolution.

I agree they should have offered to put you up at another hotel or offer a refund. I live in Phoenix so I know how important A/C is. Even at night the temps can be brutal this time of year
