Mike Patton Auto Complaint - Buy A New Car - Get An Used One

Review by Danita on 2008-05-25
LAGRANGE, GEORGIA -- Mike Patton Auto from LaGrange, GA, advertised a brand-new Ford Mustang black 2008 with 15 miles on it. I have paid and signed everything as quickly as they wanted me to, they promised to send all paperwork with a new car warranty to me immediately. I`ve got a used car with 924 miles on it instead - on April 30, 2008. I've been calling and leaving messages since, nobody called me back ever. I have sent a letter to this company a two weeks ago, wanted some explanation, confirmation of mileage, ompensation - no answer whatsoever. They`ve got their credit at the end of the month, I`ve got entirely different car than I've bought.

They do not care about customer, they care about their money . Worst of it - they knew about the mileage pretty well !!! This is a fraud.
Company Response on 10/30/2008:
Customer purchased a new, untitled Mustang with roughly 650 miles on it. We then delivered the vehicle to her residence (Florida) which is over 250 miles from the dealership (Georgia). Our ad mistakenly listed the vehicle with 15 miles on it. This was not an intentional. We apologized and compensated the customer for the difference.

What was the odometer reading on the title application or on the bill of sale that you signed? How long was the time lapse between the time you 'purchased' the car and when the car was delivered to you? Were you waiting for financing? If you are SURE the car is not the same one you bargained for, that is a very serious matter. However, there are any number of reasons the delivery mileage could differ from what you saw when you looked at the car.
