Eureka Vacumns Complaint - Eureka Altima Upright Vacumn

Review by rjf on 2008-05-26
CORTLANDT, NEW YORK -- I purchased the Eureka Altima upright vacuum about one month ago. When we use it, to vacuum, it spits out the debris instead of placing it in the dust cup. I spoke with Brenda, a representative at the company and though she tried to help me with my problem, she offered to sell me additional filters, After mentioned the issue to her, she said the company knows that this model is not meant for bare floors but does not let the consumer know it. So they are selling defective merchandise. She tried to put the blame on the store where purchased, but my argument to her was that they are only selling your products but are not aware of the defective merchandise. All in all, they were no help at all.

My suggestion is not to purchase any Eureka products as they are not honest with the consumer.

Did you check the hose for clogs. I know that it is a new vac but this is what happens when mine gets clogged. I also know that this is a common sense questions, but I bought a Eureka (the yellow one) and it didn't last not even 2 months. I do not recommend this vac for anyone with a carpet.
